THE SHORT VERSION
THE FOOTBALL GRID is a static site with no accounts, no server-side favorite-team profiles, and no sale of personal information. We use optional Google Analytics only after you accept analytics, and only to understand how the site is used and how to improve it.
WHAT WE COLLECT
If you accept, Google Analytics may collect page views, approximate location, browser and device details, referring pages, and limited interactions such as schedule-filter selections, matchup opens, and outbound link domains. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, search text, or your complete favorite-team list to Analytics.
COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE
Google Analytics may place cookies such as _ga after you accept. We use local storage in your browser to remember your analytics choice and site preferences, including My Teams, selected filters, and conference choices. Favorites are stored on your device and do not sync across devices. Declining analytics does not prevent the site from working.
WHY WE USE IT
Analytics helps us understand which schedule views are useful, whether visitors explore the grid, and where the experience needs improvement.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Analytics data is processed by Google under its own terms and privacy practices. Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in our site configuration.
FOOTBALL DATA
The schedule, scores, rankings, teams, conferences, and venue information shown on the site are public football data. That sports data is separate from analytics and is not used to identify individual visitors.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The site links to outside sources such as AP and ESPN. If you open those links, their websites and privacy practices apply.
YOUR CHOICE
You can accept or decline analytics when first visiting the site. You can change that decision at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer. Withdrawing consent removes accessible Google Analytics cookies and stops Analytics from loading on future page views.
CONTACT
If you email hello@thefootballgrid.com, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond to your message or manage feedback. We do not add you to a marketing list unless you separately choose to join one.
POLICY CHANGES
We may update this policy when the site, features, analytics, or data practices change. The effective date above shows when this page was last updated.
